Quality and warranty

Unless otherwise agreed, the warranty period for U-name-it Special Products B.V. components and U-name-it Special Products B.V. assemblies, meaning assemblies of exclusively U-name-it Special Products B.V. components, is two months from the date of delivery, assuming normal use. For products of third parties U-name-it Special Products B.V. does not give any warranty except if and insofar as the supplier concerned gives U-name-it Special Products B.V. warranty.

Defects to delivered goods

Complaints about quantities or externally visible defects in the delivered goods must be brought to the attention of U-name-it Special Products B.V. in writing within two working days after receipt of the goods, failing which the customer loses the right to claim proper fulfilment of the agreement or replacement damages.

Without prejudice to the provisions of article 5.2, complaints about delivered goods must be brought to the attention of U-name-it Special Products B.V. in writing within fourteen days after the customer could reasonably have become aware of the defects, failing which the customer loses the right to claim proper fulfilment of the agreement or replacement damages.

The customer must check the delivered goods immediately after delivery for externally visible defects and quantity. In the absence of proof to the contrary, signing the delivery note or consignment note with a note of protest shall serve as proof that the goods have been delivered in the correct quantities and without defects.

If the customer complains about the quality of the delivered goods, he must give U-name-it Special Products B.V. the opportunity to inspect these goods and, if possible, have samples taken of them, failing which the customer will lose the right to claim proper fulfilment of the contract or replacement damages. Incorrect assembly or any treatment or processing of goods delivered by U-name-it Special Products B.V. shall result in the customer losing the right to claim proper fulfilment of the agreement or replacement damages.

If complaints regarding goods delivered by U-name-it Special Products B.V. are justified, U-name-it Special Products B.V. will either replace the goods in question free of charge or take them back against a credit to the net invoice value. Any travel and accommodation expenses, as well as the travelling hours must be reimbursed by the customer and do not fall under the guarantee scheme.
